I began Add Design with my partner and graphic design magician, Geri Clarke in 2005. In a commercial world where design was following a dull London formula, we set out to inject some colour, life and personality into Suffolk businesses.
Without all the pretences of a typical advertising agency, we have tried to make our services as accessible as possible to all businesses; regardless of size and stature. To date, we have worked on local and national projects as diverse as CD design, food packaging, van graphics and corporate clothing alongside numerous print and web based campaigns.

In early 2006, Add Design was invited to work on a small local magazine called Roundabout Woodbridge. Mixing articles on local history with features on the best local services, shopping and places to eat, this quality little A5 magazine has now nearly doubled its circulation and still attracts massive interest from advertisers and local groups alike.

As well as laying out the magazine at Add Design, I write many of the features within the magazine and also manage the Roundabout Woodbridge website.

Since a Landrover bounced me into the Sahara, and I was trekked up a mountain clutching the back of a donkey during an unusually wild family holiday to Morocco, I haven't been able to escape the draw of new places and new faces. As well as living in New Zealand and South Korea, Geri and I have spent time all over Europe and in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and The Philippines. In 2005, we took six months out to loop around the world, including visits to China, Thailand, Australia, Fiji, USA, a 3000mile drive across Canada, a 3 day trek in the Peruvian Andes, Spain, Germany and our return after 3 years to the UK.

The way of the foot and hand, Taekwondo is a Korean martial art and Olympic sport which relies primarily on the greater reach and strength of kicks to disable opponents.

Living in South Korea I had the opportunity to refine my martial arts at the Inchang Taekwondo Centre under the tough guidance of two masters. I was awarded a World Taekwondo Federation Black Belt in 2005.

Rotaract is an organisation run by 18-30 year olds with clubs all over the world. Deben Rotaract is based in the Ipswich area and mixes social events with raising significant funds for local and international charities.

Last year, members from Deben raised over £5000 for SightSavers, as well as smaller amounts for a wide range of charities. The club also offers key support to a range of local events including the Aldeburgh Festival and Martlesham Music on the Green.
